New domain for Sign in with Apple and iCloud+ Hide My Email

What changed

Later this summer, Apple will unify the email domains used by Sign in with Apple and iCloud+ Hide My Email under a single, shared domain: private.icloud.com.

Why it matters for App Store teams

For affected storefronts, compare tax treatment and developer proceeds before changing customer prices. The announcement does not establish a change in app demand.

Recommended follow-up

1. Read Apple's original “New domain for Sign in with Apple and iCloud+ Hide My Email” announcement and record the affected platforms, storefronts and any effective date.
2. For affected storefronts, compare tax treatment and developer proceeds before changing customer prices. The announcement does not establish a change in app demand.
3. Assign an owner, record the baseline and verify the affected flow. Treat subsequent ranking or rating changes as observations, not proof that this announcement caused them.
