Start an analysis

Enter a keyword and storefront. The run prepares metadata, checks Apple Search competitors, calculates modeled components and saves the result.

  • Difficulty is modeled, not an official Apple metric.
  • The same term can differ by country.
  • Compare difficulty with relevance and current rank.

Interpret the score

A lower score can indicate less observed competition, but it does not guarantee traffic or conversion. Review the competitor table and evidence date.

  • Use score bands for prioritization, not certainty.
  • Inspect top competitors and rating depth.
  • Validate chosen terms with a rank check.

Data statuses

Results identify how their underlying data was produced. Always read the source and update time before making a decision.

  • Live: returned by the source during the current request.
  • Observed: public source data stored with an observation time.
  • Cached: a previous source response shown when live collection is limited.
  • Estimated: a modeled score or range, not private Apple-reported performance.
  • Exact: authorized first-party data only.
  • Beta: provider-dependent coverage that may be incomplete.

Partial and failed runs

Individual Apple queries may use cache or remain unavailable without invalidating every saved component.

  • Using cached data is displayed as a source state.
  • A queued retry should be allowed to complete.
  • No source data means the score should not be treated as current.
